1. Opening

A. BIBLE PASSAGE -HEBREWS11:1-16

B. Memory Verse - "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." -Hebrews 11:6

C. Lesson Introduction - Faith is very important to Christians. It makes us behave as if we have got something that we expect but which we really know will surely come. In the Christian race, we cannot do without it. In actual fact, every one of us exhibits a measure of faith but, perhaps for many, not as much as the patriarchs. With it, they obtained a good report, escaped death and were declared righteous. God wants our faith to increase continually. With it, we will easily get to the height which He has prepared for us physically, spiritually, financially, in our marriages and ministries. Heb. 11:1.

TEACHER'S DIARY

A. Lesson Aim - To study on how faith can increase continually.

B. Teaching Objectives and Lesson Plan - At the end of the lesson, students should be able to learn how to obtain faith. They should also be able to discover how to grow continually in faith and apply the lesson accordingly.

C. Text Review -Hebrews 11:1-16
This chapter contains a long list of the Patriarchs who had written great spiritual histories through their remarkable faith in the living God. Names such as: Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Joseph, David and Harlot Rahab. Their faith revolved upon a central hope, the Almighty God, and they were able to change history.
Believers' faith should not be limited to this present world. It should grow to the level that would look for a city that has foundation whose builder and maker is God. Such faith would see the present as being insignificant while eternity would be considered as paramount.

D. Teaching Method - Teacher should use lecture teaching method.

E. Time Management - 15 minutes for Opening, 30 minutes for Lesson Outline, Summary, Conclusion and Assignment, 15 minutes for General Review.
